forever.

[History repeats itself and that's just how it goes

Same way that these rappers always bite each others flows
Same thing that my nigga Elvis did with Rock-n-Roll
Justin Timberlake, Eminem, and then Macklemore
While silly niggas argue over who gone snatch the crown
Look around my nigga white people have snatched the sound
This year I’ll prolly go to the awards dappered down

Watch Iggy win a Grammy as I try to crack a smile...]

.....She asks me, "Why don't you ever claim me on social networks or let anyone know that we are talking?"

I already know what she assumes.  She thinks I keep my relationships hidden because I want the freedom to cheat, lie, and be dishonest.  Infidelity.  Assumptions couldn't be further from the truth...

A quiet relationship guarantees that it lasts as long as both partners stay interested.  There is no pressure from the outside.  But once we open up our love to parents, family, and friends, their own opinions about romance and passion corrupt the trust that we have started to build with each other.  You'll realize that random outsiders will start to create impossible expectations for us.

#RELATIONSHIPGOALS

, if we really want to last, we must build, develop, struggle, love, lose, fight, laugh, cry, and grow alone.....  together  . Because forever is a very long time, and trying to make it to forever is only a 2 person job...

Winter Songs

;It's winter break but back in school she didn't learn much, she wants to drink,

but see, at home she doesn't work much...

******************************************************

                ***************************************************************

Let's start off with a couple facts:

- I think I'm the only one openly admitting that I don't want to be in a relationship right now
- we're too young to not think we're iconic
- Cypher Clique is considered the most impactful music conglomerate in Delaware because of its consistent performances and abundance of new material
- spanish women never get old
- You sat on Call of Duty for 3 years after high school and let life pass you by... then you joined the military thinking this would fix things, but after a 4 year stint saluting the flag and chasing white men around old dirt roads, you look down to find yourself on a plane back to the same place you grew up in to face the same problems you were facing when you first picked up that x-box controller...
- we haven't even gotten started yet...

[ if for some reason, the sound cloud media player does not open on your phone, follow this link to access the song:

baby, You Wintertime Cold...

Dover, Delaware we've been at it for a long time.  My whole life practically.  Remember how wild some of these winters have gotten? From all of the New Year's bangers, to birthday parties, to the Christmas day Mike and I spent with 6 different women in the same Pink House on 208 north state street...

Don't let this town ruin you..

[And if you're pillow talking with the women that are screwing you, just know that she gon tell another nigga when she through with you..]
--------------------------------------

Regardless of the genre, people are noticing that we're making some of the best music in Delaware right now.  And there's so much more coming.  There's duckets of new music, videos, tour dates, Cypher Clique clothing, events, and blog posts coming early next year but the song you're reading about now is different.  This is a Winter Song...

In the winter the city slows down.
Most of the people our age have been in school or working full time for the past few months.
In the winter, dance and day parties are replaced by bonfires and smoke sessions.
As complicated and messy as they get, relationships thrive in the wintertime where Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine's Day dominate everyone's Instagram news feed.
Every winter brings with it  new opportunities to stand out.
New opportunities to discover yourself.
New opportunities to takeover.

THE SUMMER'S OURS, THE WINTER TOO --

"top down in the winter, that's what winners do"...

*brah, Corey made the newspaper on Christmas.. who does that?

BIG shoutout to my big brother Corey Crawford -

set goals. chase dreams. don't give up. inspire others. be great. shit is easy.

the Cypher Clique and TRIBE.BEATS have collided (as they always do) to write, engineer, record, sing, mix, and create a beautiful song that Delaware can toast to during the winter.

Because the summer's mine...

Rakim In 88 (prod. Ali!)

HotNewHipHop.com Exclusive

It's about to be a brand new year. As I reflect on the last few months I realize the possibilities are endless.

Now more than I ever I think I make the best music in the entire state. I made that decision at some point during this past summer.

More and more gets achieved every year. I love progress and accolades. They make you appreciate the hard work you put into your craft... I feel myself getting more distant from certain people that I've known for years. "New shit don't excited me no more". From this point everyone involved in this brand needs to focus and lock in more than ever. We opened for Dom Kennedy and Sir Michael Rocks in a 12 month span. We went to Atlanta and represented as one of two acts from the State. 2015 is all about expanding on everything. Canada is just a flight away. Texas is just a flight away. Travel while you can. It's a very beautiful part of life.

I'm really going to start stressing how nice I am at this shit.

A couple days ago someone approached me and told me I talk a lot of shit. I told him I only talk about things I'm good at so if I'm talking shit it's 100% factual. Being humble was something we used to do in 2011/2012. A lot has happen since then. It'd be a lie for me to not feel myself in this current local climate. I see a lot of part time rappers wasting studio time and internet storage space. The basis of anything is consistency. If you lack that your whole shit is jacked. Dedication mixed with preparation brings elevation. If your heart's not in it get out the way. There's no time to waste.

I promise to never stop going in (word to my Rich Homie named Quan). There's a lot of music coming out in these next few months. Happy songs, sad songs, love songs, cut songs. These tracks are just the soundtrack to the life of a bachelor. Listen to it and you might learn something.

I'm from Delaware...
 Yall hate it here?
Do you hate the state or do you hate yourself?

Midnight Rush - HNHH exclusive

CYPHER CLIQUE NEW SONG!

I don't have a lot of problems these days.  The police where I live are soft and friendly so I don't have to worry about being targeted by the cops.  The biggest issue I run into on the daily is "the boyfriend curve" on snapchat (but I'm figuring that out).  And sometimes I smoke on the beach and wonder how we got to a point in our lives where we ran out of real problems and real stress; then I hop up, brush the sand off my feet, and spend the rest of my free time on music and extra money on a lifestyle.  Life is fucking wild.

[CUTS TO RANDOM PARTY SCENE]:

Girl: Well, what did you want to talk about? I don't really have anything to say...

Boy: (starts singing*)

I know this music shit ain't shit ,
and all these randoms niggas in my house make you anxious...

and I ain't never told you that our love would be painless ,

but I was so in love with you I thought we could make it

---------------------                                         -----------------------------

these other Delaware musicians are not keeping up.
There's no one in this state that's been on the front page of HotNewHipHop this much.
This is all a product of years of hard work, beautiful women, dedication, house parties, creativity, alcohol, and inspiration.
This is the show.
 .......

[CUTS TO SAME RANDOM PARTY SCENE]:

Boy: I can't really explain why I think the way I do. The things I say.  My passions. I'm just a dreamer.

Girl: Well sometimes you have to just pick between your dreams and people that care about you. People that love you...
Boy: Dreams

Girl: What? I'm being serious.

Boy: so am I...

Lit AF (prod. Tribe Beats)

If you can buy drugs... You can buy music

Itunes

I told yall a few blogs ago that you were gonna have to start buying this music.
I know I talk a lot of shit but most of my plans come to fruition promptly.

I've done a lot in a small amount of time... There's still a lot more to do. The only one that's gonna get the job done effectively is the one that actually wants it. I'm lookin like that guy more and more everyday.

The hustle is an obsession.

The craft is an art only other young creatives can fully appreciate

There's not a lot of creative individuals in this city

Just because your homie "raps" doesn't mean he's a creative individual

Your homie is probably a part time drug dealer that was never invited to be around my women

The city produces more losers than dreamers...

Never let them tell you I'm not a leader...

Never let them tell you I'm not on my grind...

Never let them tell you how to live...

. . .

The little fairy jumps out of an elderly women’s jacket and scurries out under the nearest train station gate.  It had been traveling with the strange lady for nearly 6 hours on an enchanted trip to an odd part of town the small winged fairy was not familiar with.

Its first inclination was to ride with a new passenger back to the city.

But I may get lost even more.

...So, it decides to exit the station swiftly and carefully, as not to be noticed, and navigate through the miles of forest that surrounded the bizarre, desolate train stop.

          -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The heat of the day started to fade and the fairy found itself perched safely in a hollow trunk hours into the forest’s wilderness.  Suddenly, 2 young children sprint past and startle the small creature.  They race through to a grassy area that opened into a wide meadow just beyond a thick brush of trees.  Their destination: the beautiful blue spring just on the opposite end of the meadow’s boundary.  2 young children: a boy and girl whose matted hair and scarred hands suggested they had just finished their POW* for the day.  The boy tosses the handcrafted knapsack he carried into a bright white bed of dandelions and dives headfirst into the blue fresh water spring.  The bag containing empty gallon jugs, loose-leaf paper, books, orange peels, sheers, gloves, and peanut shells spilled onto the ground as splashes of water fly in every direction.

“Job, get out! We SAID we wouldn’t stay long.”
...he just ducked his head under the water and continued to swim.

Eventually the little girl gave up and began collecting rare leaves, herbs, and spices from the nearby foliage.  She fingered through endless patches vegetation; sniffing, snipping, and shredding whatever she needed for her collection.

What are they doing here by themselves, the fairy thought before scurrying over to the young man’s knapsack and settling into its new-peanut shell flavored-home.  When she figured she had enough materials for the trip, she again pleaded with her friend.

“Job, we must leave soon.  They will close the fence once they realize we are gone.  The POWs* are almost done for the day.”  He… grudgingly agrees, pulls himself out of the water, and reaches for his two water jugs.  Then he sprints over to the large fresh water well hidden by an over arching oak tree on the other side of the meadow.  After a quick climb up the tree, Job starts trimming and manipulating flimsy tree branches until he has created what resembles a long rope.  Tying both jugs to the end of the rope, he then slowly lowers them 10 feet below into the well.  The little girls sits patiently waiting for him to finish and counting her catch for the day at the same. damn. time.  Once Job has finished, he grabs his knapsack with the gentle fairy tucked neatly inside, and they both start to exit the wide grassy meadow-- just when a hefty *POW officer strolls out in the opening.  The officer’s face was covered by his intricate combat headgear and his fist; curled tightly around a shiny black handgun.

“Hello, we are from the Nikopol township part of the greater West settlement.  My name is –” the little girl started before the officer motioned for her to stop.

His helmet speaker vocalizes, “One at a time. What are your district codes?”

The little girl speaks up first.  “ 1 – 9 – 7 – 1 – 1   The numbers light up across the front of his headgear as she recites her township’s designed district and postal code.

1 – 9 – 9 – 0 – 4 ” Job announces next.

…….

A quiet pause resonates through the mid evening air as the numbers register across the cop's helmet.  The speaker chants again:
“That district code is not permitted in this region, or beyond zone 12-122...”

The officer then quickly raises his firearm and fires two bullets into the little boy’s fragile chest and he collapses to the ground lifelessly, leaving two gallons of beautiful blue water to trickle across the grassy meadow's surface and back into the elegant spring from which it came.

The Channel Davis Interlude

Nothing like this is being made anywhere else in the state

When you're actively chasing your dreams and fueling your passion it's hard to be around the weak

"Music is about fun... music is fun to me... I love it... More than fun it's about love... I need to just not forget that" - Vic Mensa

Today is the 1 year anniversary of "The City". Since it's released I've sipped Carlo Rossi with 50 more beautiful women and continued to perform with my favorite rappers.

The City

To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of this excellent project I've decided to drop some new music. This track is called "The Channel Davis Interlude". It's produced by the greatest producer in the state of Delaware and features Frank Boy the god. You guys will see with these next few releases that this is some new shit. I think I'm the most creative rapper in the state. I sound like no one. This music can't be compared to anything ever heard. I sound better than your boyfriend, brother, and father when it comes to this music shit. If you're not making ill shit get out of the way. Appreciate this one. It might be the last shit I ever give out for free.

I'm smarter than anyone that watches TV

I'm not an average person. You don't have to be either. The choice is yours. If you decide to be average just don't expect to spend a lot of time around me. AND DON'T EXPECT TO BE IN THE DIAMOND GROUP.

"If it don't make your niggas proud/ Then it should never be allowed" - Wale

Former Gatorade Player of the year

I respect the ones that found the passion and ran with it. I respect the ones that practice a craft and do great things with the craft. S/o to Corey Crawford.
That's what the diamond group is all about.
  • It's about doing great things
  • It's about setting goals and accomplishing then
  • It's about traveling
  • It's about being an inspiration to the younger kids from our hometown
  • It's about being great
  • It's about having fun
  • It's about love

For the love of the game...

I try to leave it, the city love me, the women hug me
I get it poppin', I do the party, they never loved me
But I've still got a decent knowledge of self
And I be lookin' in the mirror if I'm askin' for help

Halloween Party

You are invited to a costume party on Friday, October 31st in Dewey Beach, DE.

Theme: an Ode to Native Americans;

-------------------------------------------------------------

Even as a boy I thought it was sick how the Native Americans were treated when the early American settlers first arrived.  At East Dover elementary they used to make all the black kids run around as Indians on Halloween and let like the 3 white kids who went to school with us be Cowboys and they gave them guns while we had sticks and shit.  (we still won though).

In fact, their culture is beautiful. We just let our forefathers or whatever the hell they call themselves ruin our country.  So I'm doing my part as a modern day social philosopher, local superhero, and community activist.... To honor Native Americans. An ode, if you will....

---

we interrupt your regularly scheduled Halloween invitation to bring you a message from our sponsors:

 - The Cypher Clique Sir Michael Rocks (Mikey Rocks from the Cool Kids) will be performing TONIGHT (THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23rd) at the Trocadero in Philadelphia.  Contact Jamal James for ticket, travel, and show information on :

Twitter: @Relaydarapstar -or-
IG: @myamazingstory

.... ..   this guy has the weakest social media presence in the game..

   More random facts:

  • -  The 2nd ranked Cape Henlopen High School football team is 7-0 and will win the conference championship Friday, October 24th for the first time in 30 years before capturing the state title in late November.  I have absolutely nothing to do with that.
  • - ugly chics are the real STDs
  • - None of the folks I see lining up to join the military were wearing those ROTC scrubs in school
  • - What happened to everyone's dreams?
  • - I'm better than your favorite song writer
  • - Mic_Anthony is better than your favorite artist
  • - Matt Howe is better than your favorite producer
  • -  The city that we're from just kinda ruins things
  • - every new black kid in school always looked faster than he really was
  • - I don't have any real friends so I've gotta throw parties to get people to kick it at my Pink House on State street, my apartment in Newark, or my condo at the beach
  • - some of you look like you've had ebola since the 90s
  • - Caesar Rodney puts out a lot of winners...

s/o to the homie, keep grinding - we'll see you soon
"we do what we can for the community"

....................................................

I don't fuck with the fake shit

Mo' green than a spaceship

We don't fuck with y'all, no way

Y'all ain't got no taste

Rap is not bold face
Now we in the mix,

Sayin' I ain't doing things -

....................................................

The Party (&theafterparty)

There are only three rules:

1) Anyone who dresses up as a Native American will receive free candy

2) Anyone who can prove they are actually Native American AND is dressed as a Native American will receive free money*

3) Anyone who dresses up as a soldier, cowboy, police officer, or any other government official (up to the discretion of the owner of the condo) will have to sit under the pong table for 3 minutes every hour on the hour...  ..

yes. you have to wear a costume. no you don't have to be a Native American. Yes I will send out the address and time next Thursday.

no, we will not remember anything that happened the next day....

that's it..
